Summary: If you are looking to stay in this area specifically, this is a prefect house. If you are just looking for the general vicinity, I would suggest looking 4-5 streets north of this house. Reasoning is that outside of the immediate tourist spots, the city did not feel very safe to me and the general upkeep of this part of the city is lacking. Seems that a a few streets north is where more attention is paid to cleanliness. The views from this house are incredible and the house is centrally located. By walking down the steps to the beach and going just past the pier, there are restaurants set up on the beach that serve lunch & beverages. Although the listing states that housekeeping is included, this is actually not the case. There is a husband and wife who live on the property where he takes care of the grounds & pool at no charge and she is available for hire. They were both very delightful and helpful people. To clarify the layout, there are 2 suites on the 2nd floor which overlook the pool/ocean. These are a good size with plenty of closet space and big bathrooms. There are then 2 bedrooms on the first floor which are towards the back of the house so do not have pool or ocean views. The annex with the additional 4 suites are in a detached rear building above the garage. They are each about 12x12 with private bathrooms. The house was well appointed with everything you might need except WiFi. We actually had to have it installed and then uninstalled during our stay. The only other thing I felt there was not enough of was towels. We seem to be using the same towels at the pool that we used to take showers, so I would suggest bringing or buying some so that you have extras. The biggest drawback I feel is that I could not find a house which I could pay for through Homeaway with a credit card. We had to wire money for the deposit and keep receipts in case we needed proof of payment. Nonetheless, Karina was very prompt to respond to my questions and it was very helpful that she spoke English.
