Summary: It's an unprepossessing property located in the "Centro" precinct of a mostly hardscrabble and unattractive city. Despite being in a noisy area that eventually calms down after 01:00 (except for the all-night party that roars 'til all hours atop a nearby high-rise apt. building), Life Residence is quite adequate. It's well-maintained. I had a suite that featured a double (queen?) bed, pull-out sofa, kitchenette, and balcony. For my purposes, it worked. LAUNDRY ROOM (basement): spaceous, spotless, comes with soap, even has a sitting area. Best hotel laundry room, ever! SPECIAL THANKS TO: Bruno (front desk). Every hotel should have someone who's possessed of his calmness and problem-solving skills. He's a pro. WHAT'S OUTSIDE THE DOORS: I'm a man who appreciates a good gay sauna. BH offers 3-4 within easy walking distance. For my money, Três Chic, a 15-minute walk from LR, is the best of the lot. I won't visit BH again, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.
